As phase one for the rebuilding of this Malibu cottage, we worked with the City to obtain permits to restore the house to its original ‘Storybook Ranch’ condition. This meant the rebuilding of the existing roof structure and recladding the entire house. We then renovated the interior to bring it up to modern standards while keeping the charm of this vintage style. Features such as the pink powder room, the wood lined living space and a cozy kitchen nook make it stand out from the standard modern renovation.

Phase two is to extend the building deep into the site to add a master suite with a more modern aesthetic.
